We are a Branded Textile Manufacturer who exported to all over the world.
We have attached the AI file created by us which has the elements for putting them together to form a pattern. You have to try to rearrange and then make it a REPEATABLE ON FOUR SIDES pattern graphic using the elements inside. You are required to change the shape and color and proportion...etc so that it looks different from our original source.
Please use your imagination and build a new piece of commercial art from our source, the objective is to apply that onto a piece of textile and make people like to buy it. We would choose the one best fit to their targeted market and should fit the customers' appetite.
The contest judging criteria:
- 40%COMMERCIAL VALUE ( pattern arrangements match with the target market)
- 20%ASETHETICS ( not artistic, we want public attracted commercial art , not fine art)
- 20%ORIGINALITY ( degree of difference from our given AI source file )
- 20%CREATIVITY ( innovations in visual effects but has to be printable )
File of the submission: JPG, Ai
You'll need to provide your design in AI and EPS formats.
Hints: Make a piece of art/ painting in the artboard with the element given on the right. Check the source & choose one best fit for your taste. Use the elements to form relationship with each other (you may but not so easy to cross over elements from different set of source), remember mood of the final result is very important.
Use methods such as: change of color, transparency, overlapping, in group, change of shape, negative space, adding of texture, change to 3D, distortion, adding of border, change of direction, increase of weight...etc. to surprise me.
