I currently have an MS Access Database that uses adodb recordsets for retrieving data from a remote MS SQL server database that is currently exposed to the internet. Having the database exposed to the internet in this way is bad practice and is open to it being attacked. The alternative is to create an API web service on the same server where the SQL Database resides. I would then like to have 4 basic web api's that can be used for Creating, Retrieving, Updating and Deleting records from a single table. I can already programatically call an API service using VBA with help of the WinHttp or Microsoft xml v6.0 object libraries from within MS Access.
