    Hi Andrew, WordPress retrieves the plug-in name from the comment block header in the main plug-in file (using the function get_plugin_data defined in /wp-admin/includes/). The thing is, it doesn't look for updates every time you visit the page - it schedules a chron job that fires every few hours to ease load on the servers running the repository. So after it finds an update for a plug-in, it will cache that find. My recommendation: Deactivate and delete your plug-in from the site. Re-name the plug-in in the code. Re-add your re-named plug-in to your site This should circumvent any caching done by the update system.

    Hello. I have millions of small files consisting of about 2TB of data. I have pushed all these...upload files if they don't already exist or are newer than the version on s3. I obviously can't run a CP script which will upload files whether or not it exists. The cost of puts is pretty expensive! Sync in the CLI command with this many files is pretty timely and resource intensive especially on folders than contain a large number of files. Ideally would like: 1. Something that can be schedules (.bat file, etc). 2. Something that can run in a .bat script, however if a utility or more advanced programming makes sense I would like to go that way.
