Project Description:

A social networking website with a twist involved in it--a website devoted to achieving goals/certain feats. Much like the xbox 360 gamerscore system where you accomplish a feat, gain points, and show off your "badge" to other "players". Many individuals find a reward at the end a great way accomplish a task. For instance, going to the gym everyday for the week of Feb 22sd-28th might get the player 5 points, attending the superbowl 20 points, getting a college degree 50 points. And of course there would have to be comical achievements such as a "hot coffee" achievement, achievements for accomplishing certain feats in games such as cornhole and beer pong, buying a house for the first time, etc.

Below would be more in depth what I am looking for.

1)A website where members can create a user id and password, change a profile, insert information about themselves, and upload a default picture.

2)The ability for the website to have a very large list of possible achievements. This list will be searchable and should be able to be sorted alphabetically, by how many people have achieved it, by points if completed, etc.

3)The list should have a browse function where others can choose a category title (i.e. parties, health, long term goals) and look at all achievements possible.

4)A random button where users can click random, be presented with an achievement, and mark whether to put that achievement on their list of achievements to do or click random for another achievement.

5)As mentioned on the previous number, users should have a list of accomplishments completed as well as a list where it can show the current achievements they are working on.

6)Once a user claims to complete an accomplishment it will need to be verified before they get the points so a "pending verification" accomplishment list would also be necessary.

7)In order to prove they accomplished this users must be able to click a button next to the achievement on their "achievements in progress" list to verify they accomplished it. Once they click this button they would be prompted to upload a video or pictures to prove they accomplished this task.

8)On a side note we will need people to check the pictures and videos to make sure the task was completed, so, a now hiring page for verifiers would be appropriate.

9)The list of achievements will be small at first but should be able to expand based on community support. For instance, every user should be able to submit an idea for an achievement as well as a suggested point value (between 1 and 100). Others in the community should be able to vote for one achievement a week and the achievement that has the most votes at the end of the week will be added to the achievement list.

10)When users submit an idea for an achievement they should be able to upload a tiny image to represent the achievement on the scorecard as a badge.

11)There should be a scoreboard area where it simply list the top 1% of those with the most achievement points.

12)Users should be able to search for friends, invite friends via email, invite via facebook, and also there should be an "add as friend" button when a user views another users profile.

13)A facebook app would be helpful for this website to gain attention.

This is just a tentative list of ideas. The freelancer or team that creates this website will be my go to team for all future website updates. As this website will be an ever changing website based of user input there is the possibility of this team to be working with me on this website on a rather frequent schedule.
