Project Description:
Javascript for basic website calculator. Need ASAP. Delivery will show script works in attached html and will provide all files.Four formulas to calculate are:
1.) Roll Weight = Length * 12 * Width * Gauge / 3000000
2.) Roll Length = Weight * 3000000 / 12 * Width * Gauge
3.) Microns = Gauge * 0.254
4.) Gauge = Microns / 0.254
NOTES:
- Script should not calculate if an input field is empty or is not a numeric value. If the "calculate" button is pressed for the two formulas that have more than one input field, a basic error statment should be given (ex: "Enter a numeric value in fields above").
- Formula totals should round off to one decimal place (ex: 123.456 should round off to 123.5)
- Script should have comments to identify main functions
- Each calculator has a "calculate" and "clear" button
- If helpful there is a URL that has an example of some javascript working for a similar calculator, but do not want programmer to copy source. This job is to author own javascript solution to web tool requirements.

I would create a calculator on a page using a regular HTML form and a calculate button. There would be textboxes for the User to enter the required information, for a particular calculation.
When the User clicks one (from among the four) calculate buttons, the form would be submitted to a javascript function that would (a) validate that all required fields were present (notifying the User if another entry needed to be made) -- setting focus to the area of missing data, and when everything was properly validated for a particular calculation -- (b) displaying the result.
The HTML would be within a single form and the Javascript within a single function. Easily transported to any HTML page you already have. Plus you could tailor the javascript function to receive input from an HTML page you might already have -- by simply changing the form objects being checked. less
