Project Description:
I have a simple MS Access database (for recording cricket results) that I want to move to a fully web based system.
The Access 2007 database links to an MS SQL (Express) Server where the data is stored.
The database has a total of 8 tables. Data needs to be entered into 5 of these.
I would like to leave the data on SQL Server as it is.
I wish to split the project into two halves
1: Create the necessary data entry forms. You’ll be able to see from the attached database that of these 4 tables, there is a main form, with 4 subforms on it. Not sure if this concept can be replicated in ASP.NET?
2: Send queries from website to report on live data based on criteria selected by user
I don’t know anything about installing the necessary components of web server on my PC – this will have to be part of the job quoted on.
This work must be completed using MS technology – i.e. sticking with the MS SQL Server, ASP.NET etc.
