Occupational Genie is an interactive web portal linking to back end SQL database providing navigation through various occupational (job) sectors and is proposing to work as an assisted journey helping unemployed people find information on job sectors, roles and qualifications. This is a hybrid development as it requires an initial design development and interface that will link to back end SQL Server and document store.
The design interface is an integral part of the development and as you can see from the attached storyboard has to be simple and intuitive which can be used by all clients irrespective of their IT literacy.
It is heavily graphical in appearance but needs to be as small a footprint as possible for the end user. Use of addons, flash components etc have to be compatible with common browsers such as IE8 and above and again require no admin privilages to install and run on client desktops.
The database backend will control the content of the Occupational genie sectors, these comprise of job profiles, job descriptions etc that current exist in MSWord format, but may also be pdf and image based content.
We are not interested in Sharepoint or CRM development for this package.
The user will have to be authenticated by Occupational Genie via secure login that will be controlled by our internal IT department.
The application will also link to our proprietry business systems that are all SQL server based, in particular our VIPER database that hosts all our current vacancies and will link to Occupational Genie through SOC code selection, i.e. a client will locate a sector and identify a job role he wishes to apply for, he will view the job profile and description, then the system will display all current vacancies that we have in VIPER for that particular soc code as well as a subset of vacancies that will be scraped from specified approved job sites. Submissions to these vacancies will be tracked by Occupational Genie. It will also link to other proprietry databases that will provide user credentials and non sensitive client information. This exchange of information may be two way write between Occupational Genie and sections of our proprietry databases.
Use of text messaging and email is also a requirement for the application, in contacting clients with job leads or changes to vacancies applied for.
Occupational Genie has to hold a log of the customer journey, i.e. job sectors visited and jobs applied for throughout their journey (which can be an elapsed time of 24 months).
We have the animation of the Genie that will be played on Login to the application, and will also serve as the "Help Assistant" icon throughout the sections of the application.
This will be provided on selection of approved developers.
We require evidence of similar functionality or developments and design projects you have successfully undertaken and deployed.
