I've pretty much got everything setup but can't put the pieces together. Here's what I have so far:
A dedicated server running Windows Server 2008 (could be 2007 not sure)
Interspire autoresponder software installed on the apache server
IIS 7.0 installed with gui manager (I tried adding a test smtp server but no luck)
I really don't know where to go from here, like how to setup my domain dns or mx records, how to properly setup the server in IIS manager and then optimizing the server.
This mail server will be used for an email list of about 30,000 people 1-2 times a month.
I just need someone to log in and set this all up in IIS for me.
I'm a windows and linux server administrator with experience in configuring mail services on windows and I can help you with this.
Windows doesnt come inbuilt with mail services as they sell their mail sever solution as a separate product (MS Exchange).
You have two options, either buy a commercial mail server (Mdaemon, Exchange server, etc) software or install a free one (hmailserver).
I can help with either solution.
Server Engineer/Network Admin in USA here at your service. You must be running Windows Server 2008 because 07 doesn't exist. Have extensive experience with IIS Services and can show you how to easily backup the full tasks and services. Thanks!
