warning: code is in haxe, not actionScrip (haxe language was not in the list of freelancer.com, but haxe for flash has a similar API to actionScript, and it's quite easy... see this simple sample: http://haxe.org/doc/flash/0_start)
I would like to fix the code of this web audio recorder (coded in haxe using some apis for flash):
for do the encoding to mp3 on the fly/real time. Right now the recorder do the encoding at the end of the recording, which can be frustrating for the user (for example for a 30 min recording, the encoding could take about 15 mins).
I do not know if that is techincally possible (see my question on stackoverflow: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/18190229/flash-audio-recorder-with-realtime-mp3-encoding). But finally I think it can be done. I think some approach of saving wav chunks every minute and then encoding to mp3, or something similar could be done.
