Project Description:

I need a business to business web site that will allow me to upload a excel file that will categorize the items i have on a daily basis. The excel file comes from my inventory database in my warehouse. The website is for mobile Phone parts. Search capabilities is a must, by part number as well as manufacturer, and phone model. images of products are not in the same data base as excel file, if there is an easy way to upload them in a separate file by part number would be great, if not because of time restraint image upload is not so important.
This must site must be complete within 1 week. my host is go daddy on a linux platform

I will provide logo and design should follow logo colors. i will have several pages for , about us , contact, specials, all i need for those pages is a template . i will put in the html, and graphics later myself and also will fill in the content. my main concern is the parsing of file for search of items

for the second website is a retail ecommerce site. i want zen cart or oscommerce set up to import the same excel file for all the products for a separate ecommerce site , i want to make sure that if i manually assign images to items that when i load the excel file once a week that the images do not get erased since they are not in the file. And that items that are not on the list get erased from the site or at least become inactive.. this needs to be complete within 2 weeks. I will create layout in html and will design site.
if i need any help i will offer a new posting to you for any additional work i need done.
Both sites must be SEO Friendly
thank you
Abraham

how come modshops, did you not bid on site?

Your choice of host is a bad one. GoDaddy is not a good host for eCommerce as they overload their servers, have a separate server for the databases, keep vital ports closed (eg: for cURL - essential to eCommerce) and a host of other short-comings that will drive you to distraction.

I could build you exactly what you need - with advice on how to load your product data... but I won't be bidding if you stay with GoDaddy. I don't want to be blamed when things go wrong - and on GoDaddy they WILL go wrong!

    Good luck.

(I can point you to many horror-stories about GoDaddy and eCommerce - or go look yourself on the major user forums for Zencart, OsCommerce, Magento...)
