We are product recall and crisis management consultants that help consumer goods companies go through the process of deciding whether a product recall is necessary and, if so, guide them through the process of conducting a product recall. We help companies create plans but these incidents/potential crises always occur when managers are travelling, away form their desk etc so having the guide at their finger tips will be really useful. We are looking at a business model where clients pay a set up fee to customise the tool, then a monthly fee to have it available to them. AS some of our clients are very small right up to very large food manufacturers, we are looking at a sliding scale of monthly fees depending on how many users the client wants to have access.
We are looking to develop an app that guides a management team through this process. Essentially it is an 8 step process and each step has a screen that asks a series of questions requiring either very short (less than 10 word) answers or ticking a box to signify completion of a task. Ideally it is done in real time so other members of the team can view the answers, confirm tasks have been completed and add their own answers and comments. Some questions also have an "info" button that provides further information, a definition or an example.
The app should provide a template that we as admins can use to set each client up with their own version, although 90% will be the same for every client. The members of the team will be different for each client, the content behind the info buttons may be different.
I am happy to build a simplified version version that we can stand up quickly and then improve it over time rather than trying to add every option at the start. I will be guided by the developer by what can be done in this first stage and then engage them to make improvements over time. I also need some guidance on the how the app would be hosted.
I have created a detailed, step by step visualisation of the tool that I will provide once I have a short list of interested developers.
