Coding five txt files into Excel

Hi Charles, hope this finds you doing well. I'm sending you five text files -- these have all been coded previously by someone else, but I have just discovered that comments appear to be missing (that is, in the original file, but not in the Excel spreadsheet) for all of them. To be safe, I'd like to ask you to re-code all of them, but also with an eye to the total number of comments in each file. The fields needed (ie, columns in the Excel spreadsheet) are First name, Last name, street address, City, State, ZIP code, Telephone number and Text of comment. Text of comment should begin AFTER the standard header in each comment (usually something like "Naturally Raised Comment" or "Ed Schafer, USDA"). Also note that very few comments include phone numbers, but when they do appear, it is at the end of the comment. The correct number of comments for each file is: #1355 should have 1792 comments #1556 should have 1000 comments #1562 should have 691 comments #1563 should have 1000 comments #1567 should have 972 comments Important: I'm sending you a txt file for ease of coding, but the original comments (and the documents from which I obtained the above counts) are pdf files. I used the Acrobat search function to determine the number of comments in the pdf file, but couldn't think of a way to do the same type of thing in the txt file. Please let me know if you prefer to start with the pdf files (I can send them to you), or if you notice a discrepancy b/w the number of comments in the txt files and the numbers I've given you above.
