Dear Morbloger, I am a native English speaker, educated in the UK, and I have been a resident in Japan for almost 4 years. Currently, I translate as a hobby but in the near future I am looking at securing a job in the translation/localisation industry here in Japan, specialising in Japanese to English. I've just started a personal project translating a novel (Kanashii Yokan, by Banana Yoshimoto), but I'm really looking to work on a project with another person. As a fan of anime and manga for many years, I think our interests may match up well. I'm not sure what genre of anime you have in mind, but personally, I'm a fan older science fiction and occult work; Wicked City, the Overfiend series, 3X3 Eyes, Tank Police, to drop a few names. These days I tend read more manga than watch anime since my Japanese reading has improved, but I'm very much eager to "get back into" anime, so to speak.
