A normal British speakers voice is needed to train a speech recognition system, the user is required to download recording software, then upload to RAC when finished.
Download the files provided, unzip them to your hard drive.
Run the file "recorder.exe"
Choose "open" and open "words.txt"
Press the space bar to start and stop recording.
Please leave a small (1/2 second) gap at the end of the recording before you push space to stop.
Your files will be saved in the directory that the .exe. is saved under. You can check that they are saved there.
Deliver a zip file containing the wav files for all the sentences and words in the "words.txt" file.
These should be recorded with a USB headset (any USB headset is OK) in a normal quiet room. Special recording equipment is not necessary or desired.
To apply for the job, record your voice for the first 10 sentences, and either post these to a download location for me to check, or to the RAC website alongside your quote.
Please indicate what model headset has been used as well.
Please also indicate your gender (male or female)
Speakers MUST be fluent in English.
