My website www.carsunder5000.com requires some ASP addendums.I am currently learning ASP but haven't got enough knowledge yet to do the following.
The site advertises cars for sale for a one off advertising cost with advertise until sold. When a car is sold the only way to remove it from the data base is for me to manually do it. What I want to do is put the onus on the seller to remove there car when its sold.
The way I want to do this is
1. Manually, let the owner log on to there account and remove the car manually. Customers logging into selling accounts is something else that needs looking at, I would like a login facility on the default page, at present the only way to login is to click the "sell a car".
2. Automatically, I want a script that queries the data base ance a day and any cars that have been on the data base for 21 days sends an email to the seller requesting them to remove the car if its sold or reactivate the car if it is not sold within the next seven days or the car will automatically be removed from the database. Also if the car is reactivated it goes back to as if it had just been placed on the data base so it can be caught again on day 21.
Also we process payment through worldpay so the one off fee is programmed into the site.
If some one wants to sell more than one car the way I think the payment works at present is they must pay for each car individually.
I need a script that ask the seller if they are advertising more than one car and then totals up the fee for worldpay.
