Project Description:
A small timecard entry system was created by a designer who is no longer willing to provide support for my customer.
The timecard apparently calculates rows and columns, formats an email and sends it to a specified address. The system originally worked on a Windows platform with blat.exe.
We would like a freelancer who is capable of working with these two existing files (one is html using JavaScript, the other is the CGI/PERL file) to create a formmail.pl compliant mailer that will work on a Redhat/Linux webhost.
The timecard entry-system, again using Javascript, first asks for the employee name and the Sunday date of that week (such as 02/29/04), it then across the top labels the seven days with 02/29, 03/01, 03/02, etc. The rest of the fields (each row) has a Job Name, Job Number, and then the hours (whole numbers), # of Phone Calls and Miles traveled. The system allows for "5*" to indicate that they spent it on "overtime" (as seen on the bottom of the form) = overtime is any time over 8-hours in any given day (not 40-hour week). There is also a calculating function that somehow determines DT=Double Time and a few fields for free-form Misc. Expenses. I have included the files in a ZIP format. We would like the emails to be sent to an email address that we'll provide upon acceptance.
