A new company is starting up (name not decided), wich branches from another company who specializes in selling computer cases to retailors.They have now decided to start selling to private persons aswell.
The page needs to be completed before 15 April.

We are extremely obliged to complete the project if awarded. Our products include, customer administration, product administration etc. Our latest product is Video Shop Automation, where in we have most of the current requirements being implemented. Currently we are executing a 2700 person days project for school automation completly on Linux, PHP and MYSQL.
A sample implementation plan is attached below (need to discussed and verified).
Page design: (9 Person Days)
3 samples will be provided. This is a milestone. Customer has to select one. Also we will make a detailed doc on GUI standards, which u can use for later development
Database Structure: ( 7 Person Days)
Design document with complete comments on what each table, column and the size etc. Also will list database risks and the mitigation plans. This is a milestone to be completed and requires customer approval.
Administrative Interface: (20 Person days)
The folowing screens will be provided
Add / Modify / Update / Delete user
Add / Modify / Update / Delete user privileges
Add / Modify / Update / Delete product
Add / Modify / Update / Delete product category
Product Administration (20 Person days)
Product Activate / Deactivate
Create Product profile (details, picture, manufacture details, offered price etc)

Environment to be provided by customer. Test can be done by CopySOft. Also a copy of the test cases will be provided to the customer.
Accumulated person days required will be
9+7+20+20+5 = 61 + 10% contingency = 75 PDs
Our PD rate is ($4 phr * 8.5 = $33). The final rate is negotiable.
The peak strength will be 5 dedicated people for 1.2 months, ie 2 for design. 1 for requirements documentation, 2 for coding, all working full time. We will maintain and update weekly status update to our customers.

My company already has a complete website management system based on php/mysql. To get more control over the site you would have to hand code it! The core system offers page level security, page tracking and a automated navigation system.
It also includes page, user, content, style sheet, meta tag, graphics and theme controls. This system is modular and a catalog system is already in design. This catalog module will be the basis for a full blown e-commerce solution. Currently it will offer a number of features to the end user and include eight difference styles for the display of catalog items.
With the graphical controls you can edit the appearance of the website and develop themes for specific times of the year, while using the same content. So if want a new years theme it can be added and when the new year comes just change from your default to the new years theme. When new years is past change back to the default theme.
Security for this system is tied into the naviagtion system. So if a page is created with a security level of say "member", then the user will not even have that page as a clickable link in the menu until they login with at least a "member" security level. This system comes with script configuration and future upgrades. I also quoted the completion of the catalog and e-commerce. The core system and the contact form mail module is already complete and is currently running my website, see my profile for more information. less
