Flash fix and the appointment of a long term development and support partner
Project ID:
378
Project Type:
Fixed
Budget:
$150-$300 USD
Project Description:
We have built a prototype web store based upon FLASH that is now online and taking orders, payments and has been used to test our designs. We are looking for a developer who has in depth FLASH skills and has used an OO approach in using this tool to build complex applications. We do not want a graphic designer who has learnt FLASH. We have this already.
To get our immediate attention and feedback you should respond to the bid with a summary of your experience with FLASH and OO techniques. You should also have skills with another web development technology such as JAVA or ASP.NET or PHP. The summary should not conatin lines and lines of superlatives about your company - we are interested in recruiting an intelligent developer with solid skills and can demonstrate a clear understanding of our needs. Asking the right questions will get you into a dialogue with us immediately - an AD will not!
The first job is to help us speed up the prototype by designing and implementing some quick fixes to our current site. As I said the current site is a prototype and the code is not very well structured or commented. We need someone who can dive in asses the current code and apply some fixes. If this is successful you will asked to quote for rewriting parts of or the entire site. The prototype will be used as the specification for the new site. The new site will include new functionality - a back office, and integrated payments function and some new features in the shopping experience. The successful developer will be retained on a lon term basis to work with us to evolve the site and provide production support. This is an opportunity to work with a high profile retailer in the UK and create a solid reference for you to capture new business.
Skills required:

Hi,
We developed an application using VB as backend and Flash as front end last year. Our article was also published on macromedia site, for your reference:
http://www.macromedia.com/devnet/mx/flash/articles/flash_vb.pdf
We have thereafter done many projects with Flash/VB/asp .net and
have proven expertice in these technologies.
Our experience also includes Java/c++/php/etc.
Please contact if interested. Our aim is to provide you good service for this small project and be a long time partner with you.
Thanks.
