Project Description:
I have an unmanaged vps that is experiencing terrible slowdowns. I need someone to:* Check on current configuration and make sure everything is setup properly
* Check on server security and optimize
* Find the source(s) of slowdowns and determine/implement solution
* Check that the current Drupal installations are not causing the slowdown, and if they are find where the installations are causing the load issues
* Document what has been done and provide the documentation to me
The server is "Ubuntu 9.04 32-bit LTS" with 1024 MB (burst 2048 MB), and CPU usage seems to be quite high.

If we agree on the project, I'll check the configuration of all your running services and see if there is room for optimizations. I will also scan for rootkits, check your iptables, check the system for possible vulnerabilities and recommend and execute updates. I will also work with standard tools for tracing your slowdown problems and propose a solution.
Also, as you've requested, I will document the entire process and deliver the solution. less
