Project Description:
I am creating a family website which includes a photo gallery, guestbooks, calendar, etc.I need help setting up the front page of the site. I have created what I want the main page to pretty much look like. But I need it to work. :) I want the owner of the site to be able to click on the "add email account" button and be able to create the email accounts automatically and appear in the chart above. I also want the "bar graph" to work and show how much space they are using in their hosting account.

The sites will always be hosted on a server using cpanel.
I will be selling the sites and would like them to be automated as much as possible. Your suggestions are definitely welcome.
If not too much additional work it would be great if the look of the page could be edited by the owner of the site via templates or whatever as well.
Any suggestions you may have will be greatly appreciated!!

Hello~ I reviewed the link you posted and saw that the % box is not really automated at all. It's manually updated by typing an 'a' in the box, in the same color as the highlight (if you highlight the yellow/orange with your mouse, you'll see what I am talking about).
I would like to help you out, but I need some more detail on what you're expecting. Since I am not a family member, I don't know what that site is actually doing when you click on "Create an email account" - could you be more specific? Are they using SquirrelMail, or Horde or something that enables you to access email accounts via the website?
I have lots of ideas on content management systems. If you would like to discuss this further, please PM and I would be happy to answer any questions you have.

The automated email is something very sought after and I may say not readily available to most web designers. My team just finished a project (the first and only open source project) that now automates registration of email accounts through cpanel from mambo open source (a popular cms). The script can be easily implemented for any cms website or used on a standalone website. see: http://bucabay.mamboforge.net
For allocating webspace for the new user, you can use either whm (that creates new cpanel accounts) or a script that works of cpanel to create sub domains with seperate user permissions. This way we can use cpanel to get the users used space. Otherwise, there are quite a few good scripts that set up webspace and user accounts and this can be implemented with the accounts created initially on the website.
Sorry if im explaining a bit too much but I see you do already know your way around websites and if you want to take on the project yourself I suggest you use Mambo Open Source (http://mamboforge.net) and download the latest mambo release. Then you can download the Cpanel Email for Mambo module that we designed, Then download the Homepages Component. Install these in mambo.
Then just give drop us a line at http://fijiwebdesign.com and I'll send you the template your have on your website as a mambo template for free. Shouldnt be too simple.
Should be exciting if you do it yourself.. and by the way, beware of mambo, you will get addicted!
