Project Description:

The proposed web application will be an e-Commerce application for an electronics store that has a web site that allows their customers to search and buy products online. Customers can search for products using different criteria like, product, category, price, brand etc. This web application which is an online retailer of wide range of electronic hardware products and accessories will provide customers to shop for numerous types of electronics items via the Internet. These products will be divided into many categories and these categories are further divided into subcategories in order to easily locate the product customers want.

Idea of products categorization will be like given below:(left side bar - no sub categories required)

Features

Hot spot ( home page)

This is a feature of the application that provides customers with most recent list of products that are in demand. This will be displayed on the home page of the website as a list of products as it is the starting page of the application.

Shopping Cart

This is one of the most important features of the application as this application is an online store of electronics products. It will consist of the products customers have selected to purchase and retain it for the entire session of the customer visit. It will show customers details such as product name, product price, quantity and total amount.

Products Categorization

This feature separates the products according to their types and brands. Precise categorization of products is very important in order to locate a particular product easily. Customers always expect that the products they want are found quickly to save their time and effort.

Registration

This feature allows customers to register themselves with the website. To make payment after completing shopping and proceeding to the checkout, customers must have been registered to the website. This is also important to send them some promotional information.

Login

This feature allows registered customers to login in to the website. Customers can then finalize the payment for the products purchased.The features that are a must to implement
