(Keeping the requirements very simple. Overall, we need a site very similar to Groupon.com).Summary: Ecommerce site similar to Groupon which will enable us to post deals on a daily basis.
Main Features:
1. Simple & Easy to use website built using standard/open source tools
2. Ability to post new deals with following info: deal info, end date/time, min/max order, discount.
3. Categorize deals by city
4. Option to share the deal on facebook, twitter, email. Refer a friend.
5. Allow cutomers to create accounts, sign-in, bid for deals, provide payment info
6. Facilitate customers to sign-up for e-mail alert
7. Generation of the coupon for successful bids
8. Facilitate secure payment option with direct credit card transactions. Paypal support.
9. Ads on the right side
10. Discussion board for users
11. About us, contact us, How the site works sections
12. User portal which can store groupons bought, payment information.etc

I currently run www.groopswoop.com, a Groupon clone. We have the technology you need, fully packaged. My website is 100% custom built back-end not based on a CMS or Wordpress as many groupon clones. It was developed in PHP. It includes:
Back End:
- Manage promotion schedule.
- Full admin back-end to load coupon details in dedicated fields.
- User Admin. Force activate accounts, track past purchases, reset password
- Email subscription list manager export to CSV for email mailer (we use MailChimp.com)
- Charge cards through Merchant Account
- Track orders for each promotion
User Can:
- print purchased coupons which includes map to location of promotion.
- Change password
- Track money saved buying coupons
- Share deal via Facebook and Twitter
- Register to site via Facebook Connect
We can include all legal documentation including Sales contracts, Terms of Service and Privacy Policy if needed as well.
