Photo Realistic Virtual Studio Design & Renders

Project Description:
Need a custom designed "virtual studio" for keyed live action footage shot against green screen.

Deliverables will be several rendered still images from various angles within the virtual space. Need the space designed to include renders upon which we can composite a live action subject standing facing the camera, sitting behind a desk facing the camera, and sitting giving an "off camera" interview like on the news or documentary film. Preferably with a different part of the studio/set in the background each time for diversity amongst shots. We will not need any furniture in the space, other than the desk.

The most important thing is that these renders be "photo realistic" and rendered with V-Ray or other similar photo realistic rendering engine. The software used is irrelevant, the final images are what matters. They need to look real.

Please refer to this link as an example of a virtual set we have bought and used in the past.

It consists of several 2D renders from various angles, and in some renders, the desk is isolated as a separate element, providing an "empty" studio space image, and then a separate desk image. This enables us to layer keyed footage on top of the "empty studio" and under the isolated desk element, thus avoiding time consuming masking in after effects. We would like a desk in this new custom designed virtual studio to exhibit the same feature of being isolated in some renders. But most importantly, what we're trying to overcome is the non-photo realistic shortcomings of this virtual studio as a whole.

Here are some architectural render samples that illustrate our perception of "photo realistic" quality. While most of these photos are small and compressed, and are not actually studio spaces, they exhibit a visual quality in textures, lighting and overall realistic feel that we like. Most are Vray samples.

This red color scheme should be incorporated where possible as an accent color. For example, how the green is worked into this sample render, accenting the wall but not dominating it:

Ideally, the rest of the space will be a pleasant white, light or neutral color that lends focus to keyed subjects we place within it. No natural light should be incorporated. It needs to feel like a closed studio that is lit exclusively and evenly by indoor lights. The green screen footage is filmed with only studio lights.

It is really incumbent on the 3D artist to develop the space and design it with some interior design savvy. It needs a corporate/business/formal feel and empty wall space for each "setting" (standing, sitting, interview) for logos or other graphics which we can place later during final compositing. But don't hesitate to be creative in adding some texture or variety. We certainly don't want a blank wall.

Here is an image of the type of sleek looking office environment that would be appropriate to see off in the background of a side of the studio for example.

The main space should be "studio-esque" though. This is just an idea of the "feel" you could go for in the space.

REQUIRED: Portfolio samples of 3D modelling and rendering for interior architecture. Most important is: How real does it look? Lighting, texture, design, etc...

Skills required:
3D Rendering, 3ds Max, Building Architecture, Interior Design, Maya
