The Director, Business Development plays a role in strategizing new adjacencies and driving organic and inorganic growth for the IBM Services organization. This role reports to the GM of Product Management & Business Development, and works closely with the business staff to support a wide range of business development activities, including mergers and acquisitions, licensing and alliances.
+Develop growth strategies for adjacencies working with IBM Services staff, Global Services organization
+Prioritize and perform gap analysis to current portfolio, and define strategic and tactical steps to best position segment for accelerated growth
+Develop and partner with Global Business Development team to execute transactions to support the business by performing market analysis, identifying targets, leading due diligence efforts, and structuring/negotiating deals
+Management consulting, corporate strategy development and/or strategic marketing
+Demonstrated experience analyzing and negotiating business transactions including acquisition evaluation, modeling and financial analysis
+Ability to understand the various business unit goals and proactively identify inorganic opportunities to meet them
+Experience and demonstrated aptitude both managing and prioritizing multiple projects and initiatives
Adaptable/Flexible: Being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations
Clear thinking: Simplifying strategy into specific actions with clear accountability, making decisions with speed and accuracy based on best available information, and communicating priorities clearly and concisely
