Poker room real time data gathering

Project Description:
What we need is a program that will read real time data from individual poker room tables and translate that data into xml, enter it into the data base, and also make it available through API's. The API's do not have to be anything complicated, just a way to access the data based on table number, user name, etc. There will need to be a way to get all the tables, and a way to get that list out for further data inquiries.

The key is real time data reading and processing. The second key is to allow for the program to run on a remote computer and read date from the computer running the poker room software. For example computer A has the poker room software installed and computer B maps the location of the poker room software on computer A. Computer B does all the real time reading and processing of computer A’s poker room application; Computer A MUST NOT be the wiser as to computer B’s processing. Absolutely no process can be running on computer A.

Once you complete this project and the first poker room, please be available and interested in incorporating a number of other poker rooms. We will be hopefully integrating some of the most popular poker rooms; names will be given once in discussion. Sorry no more detail is given, however this should give you a good feel for what we want. I am a software engineer and more than welcome any questions you may have. Oh, please, keep in mind, we are not asking for web design or integration, just the above. I leave the language, platform, and database up to you; but if you choose something out of the ordinary, please provide reasoning. Java is preferred so that we don't have to choose the platform yet.

We are a reasonable company, and if the current budget is not enough, let us know. However, don't bother if other people are bidding within our budget.

Good luck and thank you for your time.
