I am a seller on eBay. What I need is quite complex, so please really think of what this will require before you bid.
Right now I put up all of my listings on eBay by hand. This takes quite a bit of time for me to do. I have to go to my vendors website, download the pictures of the item, then upload the pictures onto my own hosting through FTP, then copy and paste the description of the item from my vendor into my own html template ad for eBay, then put the pictures that are now hosted on my website into the template. Once the template is done, I then have to log onto eBay and paste in the html from my ad, type in the title, specify the price, put in the weight, and specify which shipping service I am offering. Only after all this can I actually list the item on eBay so people can buy it.
I am looking for a program/script/something that can automate these tasks for me. The only things that I will still need to do myself is the titles and the pricing. Everything else should be automated.
I am pretty familiar with most of the tools available on eBay that allow for bulk uploads, etc. I can direct you to these tools, but it will be your job to put everything together and make it work.
I have a second eBay account that I will let you use as the demo to make sure everything is working before I integrate it into my main eBay account.
Some things you should know:
1. The 2 programs I am currently using for my sales on eBay are "Selling Manager Pro" and "File Exchange". Both of these tools are made by eBay. Selling Manager Pro lets you keep your listings online and is the way in which I can keep track of and organize my listings. File Exchange deals with CSV files and bulk uploads of products. This I imagine may be a helpful tool in what needs to be done.
Here are links to information on both of these programs:
Selling Manager Pro (SMP) - http://pages.ebay.com/selling_manager_pro/
File Exchange - http://pages.ebay.com/file_exchange/
2. eBay does have an API. I am not familiar with this or how to use it, but it may help you.

3. The vendor that you will be getting the pictures and descriptions from does have a .csv file on their website that is updated moment by moment. It has a lot of the information you will need in it such as part numbers, quantity, cost, url of images, category, etc. It DOES NOT have the full description of each item in it though. This is why there will need to be a program that can actually go and pull the descriptions from the pages.
Also, there are about 1,800 products on their website. Right now I only have about 500 of them listed on eBay although I have all 1,800 in stock. About 30 products come in and 30 products go out of stock daily, so the program will need to be run often to keep up with the quantity of whats available.
Here is the link to my store on eBay:
You will see that if you click on each item I am selling that they all use the same template. The only things that are different are the pictures, the title, the price, and the descriptions.
Finally, I will need very good communication from you on this project. I want to make sure that it is done right and there will probably be some parts on eBay that you will need to ask me about. I am on my computer almost all day long so I will be available to help in any way I can.
Feel free to ask me any questions and again please ONLY bid on this project if you know you can do it right and finish it.
