I am in need of a person that can help me reprogram a desktop mobile phone. It is a Motorola fx1900 phone and it uses the old Motorola chipset. It is made in China and I tried contacting the original manufacturers of the phone but they could give me no useful information on how to hack the phone to reprogram it.
What I want to do is to turn the phone into a payphone. So I need its software re-written to include a call billing feature into the phone and also connect it onto a pc to a central pay phone management software.
The picture of the phone is attached to this project request. It already has a usb port to connect it into a pc.
The phones are mainly found in south America, here is one site that sells the phone : http://www.simmcorp.com/motorola_fx1900.ihtml
Just a pitty the site is in Spanish and there’s no English version of the site. I tried emailing them though their contact link - but my email was returned for some reason or another.
Project details: - Cellphone software
The software on phone must be re-written. The phone will be used as a pay phone. The phones current software is that of a standard ist generation mobile phone with phone book features, sms features and ringtone features.
The phone must display actual duration of call and cost of call while the call is in progress. After the call is concluded, it must keep the final call cost and duration of call until the operator resets the phone with a key code sequence. The total time of all calls and costs of all calls for the day must be available through a menu feature that is password enabled. The information on all calls made for the day must be available even if the phone is switched off then on again i.e. rebooted. The menu feature that is password enabled must also have an option to reset the meters for call costs and call timers. So the password enabled menu feature (call meters) will have the following options:
1. Total call costs
2. Total call duration
3. Reset all meters
4. Change access password
This menu option is only available to the owner of the phone. The supervisor is the person that will be collecting money from people who pay to use the phone to make calls, hence why the password enabled menu feature should be password protected and data should be available even if the phone is rebooted.
The phones will not be used to send or receive sms's. The phone book feature of the phone is no required. The phones can only 1 standard ring tone which is not really required as the phones will be used to make calls, not receive calls.
