I am looking for a simple software utility that will write (encode) standard RFID tags (860-960mhz) using Alien brand readers such as the ALR-9650/9800/9900 family. Autoincrement feature a must. Tags will be simply encoded with a number of up to 5 digits, with no additional information needed. For example, tags can be written ranging from (24 digit format) 000000000000000000000001 to 000000000000000000099999. Tags will be presented one by one to the reader antenna. The reader/writer will encode with a number within the range and autoincrement to the next number upon a successful encoding. For example: 1. Type in the fixed IP address of the desired Alien RFID reader/writer to connect a laptop running Windows using a network connection. 2. Upon successful connection to the reader, a tag will be presented to the reader antenna. 3. Tag will be read and software will display the current tag ID. 3. The number 123 (for example) will be typed in to a dialogue box. The number 000000000000000000000123 will be encoded and the dialogue box will autoincrement to 124 (the next number) upon the successful encoding of number 123. If the next number is not desired, the desired number may be typed in at any point to replace the autoincrement. Attached is a depiction of what I imagine such an interface would look like. Of necessity, a fully functional version of the software must be provided to me to test operability with an Alien ALR-9650 reader/writer operating at USA frequency (915mhz) using Alien RFID tags. Upon successful completion, there will be opportunity for a 2nd similar utility.
