I had a software created some time ago and have not
been able to reach the programmer anymore to do some
bug fixes to the software.
* Borland CBuilder 6
* cygwin (for creating a tool and some other utils)
The software is written in C++ and is using XML to store
What I need to have done is the following:
The software has an update button which connects to
my server. There, it is looking for new versions of
2 XML files. If found, the old XML files (which
have a list of directories included) get replaced by
the new ones.
Unfortunately, the update button does not work anymore.
For some strange reasons, it does not update the files
when it connects to the server even though the XML files
on my server were brand new when I had been testing it.
It's giving an error message that it "cannot connect to
the server (even though I am online and it has been
working before) OR that the needed files are not
Basically, what I need is a bug fix for this software
and maybe in the future someone who can make improvements
to the software. But for now, it's just the update
If you're familiar with C++ and XML and you think
you can get this done fairly quickly, please place your
bid. For an experienced programmer, my guess is that it
should not take you longer than 1 hour.
Thanks and best regards,
