IP address spoofing has always been a problem for all Internet users.
If an attacker changes the source IP address of a packet, the user probably wont know this and would possibly fall prey to hacking attacks.
To tackle this, I need an android application which could work on TTL Value and PTT (Packet Transfer Time) of the payload and detect spoofed IP addresses, and also block them.
Additional Information: TTL gives us indirectly number of hops from a source IP (if TTL =47 and default =64 for this kind of network, it means that the packet has travelled (TTL-Default) hops to reach you). i.e 17 hops
This should not be too different from the hop value that we would get by doing tracert to the specific IP. If we do a tracert and it gives us a value of 25 rather than around 17 hops, then the packet probably didn't come from the place it claims and it is a case of IP spoofing.

The paper contains information on how these metrics could be used to implement things in the application.
Furthermore this application needs to be the simplest, I mean no complexities and no difficult design.
