To provide the source code for a MSDOS C language routine to read the temperature of a X86-based PC computer's processor. Should return the same temperature of the AMI BIOS firmware function -PC Health Status- on BIOS SETUP. The routine should return an integer value with the temperature in Celsius degrees and can not take more than 1 millisecond to run on an Intel Atom 330 (Diamondville) onboard Dual Core, 1.60 GHz CPU speed with 1MB cache. I believe that any routine can run much faster than that, but i wrote this to avoid specification problems. The program will be tested in a motherboard VS AD-330. The routine must be compiled without errors for -DOS 32-Bit CauseWay- through the -Open Watcom version 1.9- compiler freely available on [login to view URL] Attached follows the -CPU Monitoring With DTS/PECI- article. It have some explanation about how this can be made.
Your task seems easy, I coded before in dos, nothing on this topic, but i'm sure there's plenty useful info on the web. Would like to take a shot at your project :).
Sir maybe we are new but we already developed this software for another client, so its a ready product for us. If you give us a chance, we will not disappoint you.
