Project Description:
I am looking for someone who can reprograme a Garmin GPS to use Google maps. I do not need the voice directions only a highlighted route and notice when you have arrived at the correct address.
I want to be able to load information in a set order that I have already routed on a seperate programe and have a driver follow the route and find house tha requires delivery.
What is this for
I have a delivery business that delivers to various resedential addresses, each day at 2.30 pm I am issued a runsheet with a list of customers who have ordered from me and require delivery. I would like to be able to enter the addresses on the PDF file (this also contains the list of items that the customer has ordered, I dont require this informationon the GPS) into a data base and have that give me a route as per the way it is laid out on the runsheet.
I need the system to optimise the distance traveled so to minamise the time traverling between houses.
At the moment the Mapsorce softwear that Garmin have is not coping with the large amount of waypoints I have( on some nights this can be upto 165 orders) entered into the GPS. The current softwear Garmin uses is picking up roads that are not there any more and also can not find some of the houses on my runsheet.
More information ie runsheets can be suppied when job is taken
