C# MYSQL Application

Project Description:
This is a MYSQL multiuser system where users can post notes (Details) against a list of primary records (Parents) via a C# application run on their individual desktops.

I have a "Parent" table with a integer primary key field and text description field as well as some other fields. I have another "Detail" table that has a second integer key field as well as a reference field back to the first table, a TEXT notes field, and and some other fields (user, timeStamp, etc). Its similar to an Order/LineItems setup. The PK's shown below can be adjusted as per your suggestions.

I need a C# windows application that can scroll through the Parent table (Alerts) and view and make entries (Notes), either insert, update, or delete in the Child Table.

A user should only be able to edit or delete their own notes.

An Apply button should post inserts or updates to the notes table as the case may be.

A timed function should indicate to the user that new parent or detail records are available, and which of the detail records has new inserts or updates.

A refresh button should update the Parent records or the Detail records.

More features may be added as we go.

I can make the parent and detail tables on my MYSQL server available to the developer.


The table specs are:

Parent Table:
INT pk (Primary Key)
DATETIME timeStamp [sortable]
VHARCHAR sSymbol [sortable]
VHARCHAR oSymbol [sortable]
TEXT alert
[Some other fields, sortable]

Detail Table:
INT pk
INT fk (references the Parent)
VARCHHAR user
DATETIME postTime (or update time as the case may be)
TEXT notes
[possibly some other fields]
