Sync FTP tree structure using c# VB2010

I just completed a project which extracts data from a SQL data formats and then ftp's the formated file. It sends an email to a specified email address using a particlaur smtp server. This project has a ini configuration and UI editing capability to assist in creating the ini and testing all the parameters. Using this code, I have a large portion of what is desired completed. There's a built-in FTP client in .Net. Parsing a CSV is easy due to a feature called dynamic programming in C#. Sending out an e-mail is easy as long as the e-mail server uses SMTP. An INI file is doable, but most .Net programs use the .config file for app parameters. I've been using C#/.Net for five years now.

Hi there, I am a developer with 3 years of C# and .NET framework experience. While this looks like quite and interesting and complex project, I have broken it down into 4 components/tasks: * Read an INI file. I can find or create an INI file parser library which will read it. * Download and parse a CSV file. There are many libraries out there that can do this. My favourite one is CsvHelper, which is fast and efficient. * Use the FtpWebRequest and FtpWebResponse classes to handle the FTP functionality. These classes are built in. * Use the SmtpMail class to send an email. This class is also built in. When I have completed the project, I will send you all the code. Hello I am a C#.Net developer. I can set up a command-line or GUI app to sync the files or folders as per your requirement, after downloading the csv file from the site. According to me understanding, you need all the numbered files on the remote site to be copied to the local site into the same folders. Will the folder structure on the remote site be static? Or may there be different folders every time the application accesses the site? Best regards, Brent
