We need 2D and 3D CAD drawings to obtain a provisional patent for a mechanical device that measures approx. 18” x 18” x 24”.
The product will have approximate 100 parts, including perhaps 10 aluminum tubes and 90 various brackets, nuts, bolts and washers.
The device will be made from standard 1” aluminum tubing, cut to specific lengths. Some pieces will be bent to specific angles at specific locations along the tubes.
The ends of the tubes will be capped with readily available plastic caps. The device will be held together with readily available nuts, bolts, and washers. Several of the joints will rotate, again using off-the-shelf parts. At least two of the tubes will contain spring-loaded “buttons” that snap into pre-drilled holes on other tubes to allow the height of the unit to be adjusted. This is the same principle used in various portable tables and in devices like crutches to allow the height to be adjusted.
I need assistance to create 2D and 3D CAD drawings from rough sketches and photographs of a product prototype. At this time I'm looking for the following views.
- Three 2D views from back, side and front
- One exploded view with the parts labeled (nuts and bolts and so-forth)
- Perhaps eight 3D views from various angles
- Device folded closed
- Device fully “opened” – views from two angles
- Handles in retracted and extended position
- Step / seat stored, positioned as a footrest, and positioned as a seat
I'll need drawings produced in both professional CAD files (any major software is acceptable) and exported in a format that I can view without purchasing the CAD software.
You should have experience in producing drawings for patent applications. You'll be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
