Design and provide a batch of 4, lighter and stronger forged automotive conrods given a sample of a standard conrod. The engine for which this is required is a Mazda BP-Z3.
The conrod will be mailed to the successful bidder and is to be used as the basis for designing and producing a lighter stronger automotive conrod that can be used as a direct replacement. The rods are to used for naturally aspirated high rpm applications with power of not less than 300hp
The design should be complete to saleable standard and include end caps, any hardening or strength treatment required and accepting of standard rod bolts that will be included.
The conrod should also be modelled in solidworks to allow reproduction.
Bids should include indicative weight (as much as possible under 500gr) and pricing (within 10% of the final price) to supply batches of 4 conrods with a dispatch time of 3 days.
I would also be interested if you can provide 2-3 pricing options using different design materials or rod profiles, e.g. lower quality steel forgings through to a high quality option of titanium alloy, or H-beam vs I-beam rods.

I have received expressions of interest from people who are very good at the computer rendering side of this request. However, I have not had any replies from people with an engineering, or product development background.
I require someone who has experience or strong knowledge designing automotive components to a high standard and who would be able to supply products of their design on an ongoing basis.
Someone who understands metals and can work with them to create high performance automotive parts. This is not only a computer based project request.
