The field would comprise of two dropdowns. The user chooses Parent Item in the first field. The second dropdown will then show filtered results based on the parent item.

I have attached a screenshot of our Opportunity Form together with a mockup field called "Opportunity Type"
The idea is that a user makes a choice in the first dropdown and the results in the second dropdown are filtered.
Also, we would like to update the contents of the dropdowns ourselves so the data must be accessible in CRM.
Can you outline what sort of access you will need to the CRM server? Is it just CRM admin login or do you need FTP access? It is hosted so we do not have full remote access however the host can install items on our behalf.
