Website Promotional Products Outline:
I am looking for a talented individual that can help me bring a lot of pieces from various suppliers and tie them into an online shopping experience. I am trying to find someone who can help with assisting in building me a website that will have over 10000 products. I would need someone that would be able to collect pictures, pricings, part numbers, quantity pricing breaks, freight information (weight dimensions supplier location etc), setup charges, imprint charges, optional charges and embed into my site. I am trying to build a site that would have all the bells and whistles of www.pinnaclepromotions.com or www.halo.com or www.branders.com or www.4imprint.com or www.inkhead.com .
My goal is to utilize a free open source catalog where I would be able to access the xml feed using this educational tutorial. http://www.distributorcentral.com/resources/education/guides/ProductXMLDataFeed.pdf
I want to take what I have done with their basic out of the box template www.brandowlpromos.com and make it feature rich and visually appealing to blend with my current website www.brandowlpromo.com
I want to have a nice looking product catalog that I can either:
a.) Do what this company did and IFRAME it into a nice landing page site with the same open source company http://promotionalproductsorangecounty.com/onlinecatalog.html
b.) Have my own website built from scratch to integrate or scrape the free distributorcentral.com database.
This company provides me a free website and tools to display their products, catalogs etc. They also have merchant account integration out of the box. I am looking for someone to assist in figuring distributorcentral.com platform inside and out to help me build a site what would look appealing to the masses.
My question is should I buy a new domain ie:promotionalproductsoc.com so I will rank fast, have a nice landing page and try to do something with a Iframe to distributorcentral.com or could we take the XML feed and put it into a nice shopping cart like shopify. I don’t need to have the 1 million products they carry. Quite frankly I would be ok with a thousand to start from my top 3 suppliers. I need someone who knows the industry a little and can build things with multiple variable factored in. It’s all data entry, picture capturing, and formula variables. Please let me know if you have what it takes to help out and what the cost factor would be to do such a thing. I think creating a landing page like http://promotionalproductsorangecounty.com/onlinecatalog.html should be a very easy task for someone who is a fast learn. 5 pages with a Iframe window built in. Thanks in advance for reviewing this project. Cheer
