Word Count: somewhere between 2000 and 3000 including references

Assessment Purpose

The purpose of this assignment is to encourage a practical engagement with the subject content. Individual educational settings vary significantly so it is not possible to prescribe exactly what will constitute a learning community project. You might choose to create something that supports your own learning (professional learning community) or that of your students (whole school, class, subject, workplace and so on).

Given the scope of this subject (12.5 points) projects should be quite focused and not overly ambitious in terms of resources.

Assessment Details

Create, design, describe a learning community setting/project/environment that suits your individual learning/teaching needs. Ideally this project will have a practical component that can be viewed by other members of the subject (care will need to be taken with confidentiality and access).

If the environment already exists you will need to make that clear.

Important Privacy Considerations

In this assignment consideration is made for those working in private and/or secure environments. Where sharing of project material is not possible, students can submit plans, ideas, designs and (where possible) screen shots (blurred if necessary).

Assessment Criteria

You will need to describe (amongst other things as necessary):

Audience/community that the project is aimed at
Its purpose
Possible future directions/extensions
