Our backend as a service platform provides geolocation and geotargeting capabilities with just a few clicks. Developers can now simulate their users walking/driving around the world with their app! We are now looking for a social media/community manager to join our Dynamic Content team and make our social presence go truly viral, partnering with our Web/ PR/ Marketing/ Research teams to engage key audiences and expand our reach and influence while finding new channels for our unique content. This includes not only working with social media but also user groups like LinkedIn, Android and iOS user groups, stackoverflow, location based services user groups - basically where application developers are :-)

Responsibilities and capabilities:

- Content programming: Serve as GeoLoqal's content master, recruiting guest post writers, editing and writing posts, and serving up a steady stream of engaging, informative, SEO-optimized content that reflects GeoLoqal's POV on key industry trends.
- Community building: Use Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and other channels to actively and constantly engage a growing following of application developers.
- Campaign execution: Deploy audience-driven social campaigns that help amplify our online marketing campaign efforts.
- Outreach/PR: Reach out to bloggers in our vertical (location based services) to get them to write about GeoLoqal.
- Drive insights from data: Use social monitoring platforms and dashboards to listen across channels, obsessively track metrics and steer content accordingly.
- Help lead the strategy: Stay one step ahead of trends and help us stay focused on goals.
- User support: Be willing to and easily field support tickets via email, Facebook, Twitter, and phone messages (of course, we will help you with this too!).

Qualifications

- You must be able to tell great stories, have a journalistic mindset and be comfortable with semi-technical terms.
- You MUST be fluent in English (both written and verbal)
- Three to five years of progressive experience in marketing, public relations and/or editorial roles with focus on community building and/or social media strategies and campaigns in B2D (business to developer) environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of social media marketing, engagement and measurement techniques, and a proven ability to manage social media tools and craft copy for social media channels.
- Working knowledge of social media monitoring (tweetdeck, hootsuite, buffer) and web analytics platforms like Radian6, Crimson Hexagon, Google Analytics, etc. with proven ability to learn new technologies
- Experience blogging in WordPress with working knowledge of social marketing apps like (something like Wildfire, North Social [url removed, login to view])
-Familiarity with SEO best practices and experience developing content that can drive organic search and can convert leads
-Entrepreneurial, extremely proactive and resourceful with a results-driven, hands-on approach
