Project Description:
We are seeking Copywriters to write long copy for online products. We are seeking people with product knowledge in a number of areas and looking for reliable people who can turn jobs around quickly and consistently. We are looking for people with whom we can develop long term partnership relationships with. We do not want faceless emails to communicate with. The volume of work we have to get through is substantial - up to several 1000 descriptions per week.
Role
o To write 50-100 word product copy about products in the fashion, beauty, homewares, and many any other categories. You can choose to write for one or many categories.
o Product copy is the long description of a product that describes it in flowing sentences.
o You will be given a list of links, which will take you to a product page, where you will then have a text box to write copy.
o Another component of the role (especially for fashion) could be updating a set of attributes to describe the product in specification terms e.g. Sleeve length: Long, Colour: Red
Skills
o A writing flair with the ability to look at a series of images of a product and produce a selling description.
o Excellent English diction, spelling and grammar. We expect that you will need to have English as a first language.
o Understand what basic SEO keywords are an incorporate them into the description
o Highly productive yet consistently original
o Must be reliable and able to complete jobs on time.
Location
o Anywhere, including at home, though you are welcome to come to the office in Sydney
Remuneration
o Fee per description c.$7.
o Fee per specification â?? 25c per attribute completed. Fashion items may have 10-15 attributes, other products may have up to 40.
Application process
o In submitting your application we would like you to take at least three items of your choice from any web site where there is poor product copy and write 50-100 words of copy just using the images. If you want to apply for multiple categories, please do at least 2 products from each category.
o Please indicate your areas of expertise and your capacity in terms of number of products per day, the time to turn them around and the number of days you can work and when you cannot work
