I am friends with, and regular visit an indigenous tribe that lives in the Amazonian rainforest. The tribe has a very rich culture that includes several stories that explain the origin of its people and their habits.
To prevent that through modernization these stories are lost for the following generations, I have recorded several stories on tape with more to follow. The next step is to (1) write down these stories on paper in perfect Spanish and (2) translate the stories from Spanish to English. My intention is to use these stories for an upcoming book(s) about the tribe. As my Spanish is basic I am looking for someone who can help with this.
I am looking for a native Spanish/English speaker who can help me with this. I am looking for someone who is sincere in his/her work and preferly shares my interest. Both your Spanish and English are excellent. You have a sense of storytelling so that you can translate the spoken words into something that is readable. If you are selected you will be send an MP3 of the first recording to be worked out in the next days.
Given the filantropic character of this project I am not able to pay a lot of money, as you might understand. I prefer a 'per word'-price.
If you react to my project please let me know why you would be the person to help me with this, and in which way you share my interests.
