I am looking for an excel spreadsheet that will take existing data from previous games, i.e. points scored, points allowed, offensive yards per game, defensive yards allowed, to come up with a yards per point figure both for offense and defense, home figures as well as on the road games. There are many websites that speak of using the YPP formula to make fairly accurate game predictions, but they don't seem to take into account that teams play differently at home as they do on the road. This spreadsheet would also have to have the capability to update itself as new figures become available. Being able to chart this information would also be a big plus. I have an excel spreadsheet started with all of the team names and several stats, but just can't get the math programming to turn out right. (emailed to you upon request)

o.k. so I figured out how to include the existing spreadsheet that I have been working on. To me it is fairly straight forward. It's just tying all of the information together, or getting the separate sheets to talk to each other, share the needed information, and come up with a prediction that makes sense. Hopefully the sheet that I have provided makes sense to you. I have figured out that the home stats and predictions should be different from the away stats, for obvious reasons.
Also, if this helps, I do have other nfl prediction software that uses an array of different figures to come to it's conclusions in which I will provide to you if you should see a need to use bits and pieces of it. I'm not so concerned with straight up predictions as much as I am about the spread and being able to post good results versus that. Over/Under prediction capabilities would be nice as well. No office pool capabilities, please. The Vegas point spread vs what the spreadsheet has calculated, and the anomoly between the two is my greatest concern. Not to mention winning as well.
