We are a real estate-based company that makes offers on real estate properties from auction websites. This is effectively a data mining position in which we are looking for opportunities that nobody else knows about. The inventory on these websites changes daily and we need somebody to monitor the changes and report back to us on a daily basis so that we can find properties to purchase.
On a daily basis you will be emailed a comma separated file of the inventory from that website which will need to be analyzed and compared to the prior day’s data. This is done in a spreadsheet. Each new day’s data needs to be entered in a new tab in the spreadsheet and compared to the prior days inventory to look for changes. Specifically, we are looking for properties with a price change, properties that newly came on the list, and properties that are becoming close to a price drop due to the amount of time they have been listed.
This research is done by way of a Excel spreadsheet using some fairly sophisticated features of Excel. Every day after doing your research you email us a report for our review. If this relationship works well we will then it expand your responsibilities to doing research at another website on values of properties, and finally making offers of properties as well. This entire process should take you no longer than one hour per day, however if you prove yourself to be valuable we will increase your responsibilities.
FIRST AND FOREMOST YOU MUST BE EXTREMELY RELIABLE FOR THIS POSITION. NO DELAYS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR ANY REASON. THIS IS TIMELY INFORMATION THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE DAILY AND ON TIME. DO NOT APPLY YOU ARE NOT RELIABLE.
The entire process is done through the latest version of Microsoft Excel. However if it can be duplicated in another spreadsheet program we are okay with that. Ideally if somebody could figure out how to do what we’re doing on a Google spreadsheet that would be outstanding. In either case you will need to have your own software to do this job. Therefore you will need to understand:
• The better expertise you have a spreadsheets easier this job would be
• basic database management using Excel
• excel spreadsheet including the functions, COUNTIF, conditional cell formatting, CONCATENATE, naming cell ranges and doing comparisons, creating reports, and creating macros.
• You will need to be able to do troubleshooting as well
Right now we do this job ourselves in our office and takes approximately one hour per day. The database does not change on weekends. So approximately 5 hours per week but it must be done on a daily basis. We might even move it to twice per day for research purposes.
Must have advance communication skills in English
Must have VOIP to call US unlimited
Can work US hours (Timezones: EST,CST,MST & PST)
Must know how to use business application software for example : MS Word, Excel, Access
Technical Skills like Google Apps ( Docs,calendar,etc)
As stated above you will need access to Microsoft Excel latest version or equivalent.

We will also provide you with training videos about how we do this task however we are hoping to find somebody who’s skills exceed ours and can do it more efficiently.
