I have a list of 1049 economists and I need to fill in two variables for each one of them:
1) PhD_From: This should be the name of the institution the economist received his PhD from
2) Year: Year he received his PhD.
3) Year born (if available)
You can easily find the CVs by Googling. For "Robert Anderson", for example, we find by googling "Robert Anderson Economist CV"
his CV is then on: http://emlab.berkeley.edu/~anderson/vita.pdf
We then find:
1) PhD_From: Yale University
2) Year: 1977
3) Born: 1951
Repeat this for the remaining 1048 observations.
Data quality is of utmost importance and I will check 10% of the cases. If there are more than 1% errors I will need to ask you to redo this.
