Hi MaryAnn (Sam?) - We are a disruptive platform in the pet space trying to expose puppy mills and scammers by creating a transparent platform that vets out breeders, profile matches prospective dog owners to dog breed types and ensures dogs come from a loving, caring environment (you can check out this video to gain more insight: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X4lUsNxpl_g ).
The problem is mostly one of education. So we want to send out an ebook to encourage sign-ups to our platform, keep things honest and educate people about the process of looking for a dog, what questions to ask breeders, what are some of the world issues about over populations of dogs, puppy mills etc.
We are looking for someone who can be authentic, caring, transparent, and sincere in the writing process. We can provide links to articles, websites that have relevant information (that can be re-written) and why we are doing what we are doing. It does not need to be too long (10 pages max) and should incorporate: questions to ask breeders, questions to ask yourself when buying a dog, RSPCA guidelines etc., and should be content rich founded on great ethics in the pet space specifically dogs.
Chapters could be:
• How to choose the right dog for you
• What are some of the best questions you can arm yourself with when getting in touch with a breeder?
• What are some of the problems dogs and owners encounter when they support puppy mills and why you should not support them
• Are you and your family ready for a dog.
You have creative license to make this a great and informative read. I would not expect you to spend more than 5-6hrs on this article - let me know as I would like to be fair about your time and our expectations.
On acceptance of this job, I will supply URL links to some great articles, PDF's of other ebooks you can use as a guide, and other relevant articles (would this be enough to get you started?) - let me know.
I look forward to your response.
As this site launches and progresses, we will be writing up a number of ebooks in this space (breed types, dog training, best practices, health etc). Hopefully if this is something up your alley, you could assist us with this?
Thank you kindly,
