We translated a training manual from English into German and now the Open Office document needs formatting and comping ready to go to the printers.
In particularly the job is to:
+ Make the look and feel of the German document similar to the English document
+ Change the headings which are formatted default text into open office styles “Heading 1, Heading 2, Heading 3, etc”
+ Add page breaks where appropriate
+ Add page numbers
+ Generate a table of contents similar to the English document
+ Update the diagrams and exercises page numbers in the back of the manuscript
+ Return to us a formatted Open Office document which is ready to go to the printers
The German document is currently 214 pages A4 and is approx 67,000 words long. It will be printed double sided.
You’ll need to have excellent Open Office and DTP skills, and a good working knowledge of English and German would be advantageous.
You’ll be provided with an Open Office document of the German translation for formatting, as well as a PDF of the English Document to be used for comparison.
