I am based about 35 minutes from the financial centre in The City of London. I entered outplacement consultancy in 1997. This means you benefit from 17 years CV/ resume writing experience. Furthermore, I understudied possibly the most profoundly successful designer of world-beating CVs whilst working at InterExec, a City-based career management firm specialising in helping executives earning in excess of $200 p/a navigate career transition.
My CV/resume writing-style is, wherever possible, to align the personal profile directly with the interview script. Being completely honest with you, I do not do much work remotely because it seems implicit that a certain amount of face-time would be helpful to tailor the resume accurately. I call this basic technique 'The TMAY Method' because 'Tell Me About Yourself?' is it's the most pivotal question of all in getting hired successfully - at least the response is!
If I am designing resumes predominantly for the US market I am quite familiar with adapting language to 'Americanize' my usual style, along with US spelling. Hence, I do envisage much of a problem here. In addition, American clients tend to react well to my style because I am candid, open and encouraging. Plus, when necessary, ever-so slightly evangelical with the subject matter!
As you appear to pay fair rates, I would be curious about developing a long-term association with your organisation as we aim to shift my modus operandi/life/work balance to live in the wilderness!
