Below I have listed precisely what I am looking for as an end result to this project:
Scoreboard with 6 or 4 countdown timer (HH:MM:SS or MM:SS to convert to SS:MSMS when under 1 minute)
2 sides for scores, 2 digits each (possible home away)
All to be controlled through an IR Remote or other type of remote with 8 buttons (+/- Home Score, +/- Away Score, Minutes Up/Down, Start/Stop)
The digits to be used will be the large 7 segment LED displays unless there is a cheaper/easier alternative to these (possibly 7 segment magnetic digits), along with shift registers, resistors, any other parts deemed necessary for the project..
The scoreboard is to be controlled through an Arduino UNO connected to a BreadBoard, unless a reasonable alternative is available for such a project.
THIS IS A 2 PART PROJECT. I am looking for somewhat of a BEGINNERS GUIDE to wiring this project as well as the proper coding for this project (Countdown + Wireless controller functions).
