We are seeking a qualified and hard working electrical engineer to design an LED display system similar to our current system design. We are the manufacturers of a patented outdoor LED display. It is modular (a display can be assembled from a series of 1 foot by 1 foot modules) and therefore can be made to any size or configuration possible.
We are seeking to duplicate this process in a much smaller indoor version of a similar system. Each LED module would be 100mm X 100mm and would be made up of 20 pixels X 20 pixels (5mm pitch using 3528 3in1 surface mount LED diodes).
Our existing control system for outdoor is run with a linux PC and essentially takes what is displayed on the screen of that PC and duplicates it to be displayed on the LED screen. It is orientated to the top left corner and then, depending on the size of the LED display, extends the display area to the height and width of the led display (ex. if the led display is 100 pixels high and 300 pixels wide, starting in to top left of the PC's window, what is shown in that 100X300 windows is what will be displayed on the LED display. Output should include full color video.
Should be able to support combing 100mm X 100mm modules in any shape or configuration possible. Think of the LED display module like legos that can be connected together to form...for example...a long ticker of a square shaped display or an "L" shaped display etc.
We are looking for someone who can take this concept and bring it to reality, making the proper adjustments to provide a cost effective product design with the simplest and easiest to set up control system.
